The Von Rohr is an analogue device, which makes you perceive a 2D image as if it where 3D. It is based on a patent from 1907 that has never been put to use. The inventor, mister Von Rohr, used two mirrors in order to trick your brain by changing the perspective of your eyes.
Together with Delft University of Technology scientist Maarten Wijntjes we developed the Von Rohr to make it available in the world of art. We make paintings come to life.
We started of with quick and easy models. Through testing it on music festival Lowlands and the Dutch Design Week we developed a ready to use product. It now is waiting to be put to market.
